Een plek waar je bij uitstek kunt wandelen, fietsen of \u00a0joggen. Gewoon naast de deur. Dat is de basis geweest waar we op voort wilden borduren\u201d, aldus Olaf Schoofs, verantwoordelijk voor de ontwikkeling van Carolus, toen ter tijd in dienst van BPD, thans de ondernemer achter Rezidenz.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exclusieve woonbuurt<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u201cOns treven bij de ontwikkeling van Carolus was om het voormalige ziekenhuisterrein om te toveren tot een exclusieve woonbuurt van \u2018s-Hertogenbosch. De basis is een samenhangend straatbeeld met veel groenzones , waarin de volwassen statige bomen op het glooiende terrein wordt aangevuld met duurzame beuken- en eikenbomen. Waterpartijen, met groene oevers, wandelpaden, houten vlonders en bruggen dragen bij aan de intieme uitstraling en nodigen uit tot ontspanning. Door de wisselende hoogtes van het terrein, de fraaie zichtlijnen en waterpartijen ontstaat er, samen met de bijzondere architectuur, de perfecte eenheid van wonen en omgeving. Aandacht voor detail en de ruimte die de woningen bieden, maken ze tot familiehuizen voor generaties lang.<\/p>\n<p><strong>De woningen, wat was je filosofie?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Ton Mulleners, architect bij Mulleners &amp; Mulleners: \u201cDe woningen die we hebben ontworpen voor Carolus, refereren aan de rijk geornamenteerde rijzige 19e eeuwse panden die je aan de buitenranden van de oude steden zag. En dan in eigentijdse detaillering. De vrijstaande villa\u2019s hebben een prachtig kappensilhouet, een alzijdige ori\u00ebntatie waardoor er van alle kanten een mooi en elegant beeld ontstaat. De herenhuizen en de stadswoningen zijn individueel verschillend o.a. door de langs- en dwarskappen, maar vormen toch een geheel. Er is eenheid in verscheidenheid gecre\u00eberd. Witte huizen hebben een magische aantrekkingskracht. De gevels geven een chique uitstraling, de kozijnen zijn verdiept en we hebben afwijkende lijsten gebruikt waardoor er samen met de vensterbanken een schitterend, subtiel profiel ontstaat.
